Gulf Coast Filmmaker Invites Public to Support Revolutionary War

Documentary Through Tiered Campaign

GULFPORT, MS — April 7th, 2026 — Gulf Coast filmmaker Anthony Williams, owner of A.J. Williams Media, has launched a public campaign inviting individuals and organizations to directly support the production of a new documentary focused on overlooked stories from the American Revolutionary War.

Currently in development, the film will feature historical insight and research contributions from respected historians, including Dr. Bellinger and Jeff Wallace. The production is born from the narrative of the book A Tale of Two Cannons authored by Wallace, whose foundational research drives the film’s investigation and provides its intellectual heartbeat. The project aims to highlight lesser-known narratives from the Revolutionary era, emphasizing authenticity, human impact, and historical accuracy.

“This film is about uncovering stories that deserve to be seen and remembered,” said Williams. “We want people to feel connected to the past in a way that’s meaningful and real.”

To support the project, Williams has introduced a structured tier system hosted on the platform Buy Me a Coffee, allowing supporters to contribute at set levels while receiving exclusive benefits and recognition.

Support tiers range from $50 to $10,000 and include opportunities such as on-screen credit, behind-the-scenes access, private virtual events, and official producer recognition. Contributions can also be made anonymously through the platform, providing flexibility for those who wish to support the project privately.

Available tiers include:

  • Patriot ($50): Early access to the film, project updates, and name listed in supporter credits

  • Historian ($250): Behind-the-scenes content and access to private Q&A sessions with the filmmakers and historians

  • Archivist ($500): “Special Thanks” credit and a limited-edition signed poster

  • Associate Producer ($1,000): Official producer credit and expanded recognition in the film

  • Executive Producer Circle ($10,000): Top-level billing, private access to the production process, and exclusive screening opportunities

Williams emphasized that the campaign is designed not only as a funding initiative, but as a way for the public to take part in preserving history.

“American History belongs to all of us,” Williams said. “This is the people's story and this gives the  people a chance to help ensure it’s told the right way.”

The documentary is being produced by A.J. Williams Media, a Gulfport-based production company known for creating story-driven video content for businesses and organizations. The company has received multiple industry awards, including three Telly Awards, and has produced content for both regional and national audiences.
